Susan Clapp is an experienced solicitor with a focus on franchise law, commercial leasing, corporate/commercial law, and business transactions.
With a wealth of experience, Susan is instrumental in assisting clients with commercial leasing matters. She provides comprehensive advice to prominent landlords and national tenants on all aspects of commercial leasing.
In the realm of franchise law, Susan’s proficiency is well-regarded. She routinely advises franchisors of various sizes as well as franchisees. Her clients appreciate her deep understanding and valuable insights into the development and implementation of franchise systems, including those that operate in the Cannabis industry.
In addition to her legal practice, Susan has held significant leadership roles both within Witten and in the broader legal community. She currently serves as a member of Witten’s Management Committee. Susan is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Canadian Franchise Association, the American Bar Association - Forum on Franchising, and the Canadian Bar Association Business Law and Commercial Property and Leasing subsections. She has also served as the past chair of the CBA Business Law North subsection.
When she’s not immersed in her work, Susan enjoys travelling to explore new places and cultures.
