Kevin J. Smith

Kevin Smith, a senior solicitor with our firm, manages a diverse practice with a particular focus on commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganizations. He is known for providing innovative solutions to help clients expand their businesses and navigate the challenges they face. Kevin’s areas of expertise include contract drafting and negotiation, leasing, corporate reorganizations, purchase and sales of assets and shares, real estate matters and financing. Kevin’s clientele is varied, representing a wide range of industries that fuel Alberta’s economy, such as manufacturing, forestry, fabrication, retail sales and computer systems management and development, among others.

Beyond his corporate/commercial practice, Kevin extends his services to individuals, assisting them with estate planning and related matters.

Kevin has a history of community involvement. He served as a director of the Volunteer Centre of Edmonton, coached minor soccer, and volunteered with the Laurier Heights Community Association. He was also a member of the Civil Procedure Guide Editorial Board.

Outside of his professional commitments, Kevin cherishes family time with his children and enjoys travelling, cooking, reading and golf.
