Witten LLP is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team. You will work as an integral member of Witten LLP’s management team and report directly to the Managing Partner. We offer competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and a friendly, inclusive, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for talent acquisition efforts, including job postings, scheduling interviews, reference checks, candidate assessments, and maintaining relationships with employment agencies
- Responsible for onboarding and offboarding initiatives, including new hire packages, conducting orientations and exit interviews
- Is the primary contact in handling employee concerns and providing support to resolve human resource issues
- Responsible for maintaining job descriptions and employee records (attendance, vacation, sick time, personnel files, benefits administration)
- Experience with Payroll & Benefits is required, will support the Payroll & Benefits Administrator to ensure accurate processing of semi-monthly payroll & benefits for 150+ employees
- Responsible for managing employee performance, including facilitating employee review meetings and tracking employee performance
- Plans and organizes company events and meetings for support staff
- Coordinates employee birthday cards, anniversary announcements, payroll change notices, updating firm directory, service awards, employee recognition
- Assists with developing and managing an HR budget
- Maintains confidential HR files and databases
- Contributes to the strategic planning and execution of HR initiatives
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, with a minimum 7 years’ experience and at least 5 years of supervisory experience, CPHR designation is an asset
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Dayforce HCM is preferred
- Knowledge in employment laws and regulations including Employment Standards Act
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Proven record of responsibility and judgment including exercise of discretion and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external professionals
- Skilled in conflict resolution, building strong relationships and creating a foundation of trust, mutual respect, and collaboration
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines
- Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to take on initiatives with confidence working in a fast-paced environment
